On the verge of being ....Paperless!

The universities, colleges, institutes, schools and other places of education have the power to mobilise people and opinions. This capacity should be utilised to advocate issues of concern. Our university is trying to mobilise community by devising methods and rules, and inculcating them in the system, to lay in front of people an example that speaks for its own self and doesn’t need enunciation. The University Management System, commonly called the UMS, is one such example which encourages minimum use of paper. The University strives to become a “Paperless University” by boosting up the techno savvy culture.
The UMS is a technical venture that renounces the use of Paper for various tasks like – Attendance, Time table, Assignments etc.
1.The teachers and students are provided an account over the system.
2. The students get their time table online and submit their assignments online.
3. There also is a provision for online attendance.
4.The teachers too, make use of UMS for applying for leave etc.
5.The UMS also performs the task of information and communication. The circulars, meant for both students and teachers, are uploaded on it. The feedback on those circulars is also received online.
6.Important notices are also put online for the internal public and hence again the use of paper is put to minimum.
7.Also the Minutes of the meetings held are circulated online.
This and many such initiatives are taken up by LPU that have remarkable, enduring and positive results.
